The Bachelor of Sciences in Applied Statistics program prepares you for employment using the tools of discrete mathematics and statistics. The Bachelor of Science in Applied Statistics with Biostatistics Concentration is designed to provide a broad overview of statistics and its application in biological sciences. Intended for students who intend to be employed in life and health sciences fields that require statistical tools, you can also use this degree as a springboard for post-graduate study in biostatistics. The BSN Degree at UHD offers students a strong educational foundation in nursing, while also providing them with the leadership and critical thinking skills necessary for a challenging career in any healthcare setting, or in the pursuit of a graduate degree. In this program, the chair of the Department of Natural Sciences consults with the students’ advisor to create an approved degree plan that is designed to meet the career goals and interests of the student.

With a curriculum designed to prepare you for careers in a wide range of industries, graduates often go on to become part of city, county and state public works departments, engineering and construction design firms, fabrication companies, and geological testing firms, to name a few.
